Growing Communities Action Group

Will be meeting some time in November to transform the small flower beds at Foul Ford car park. We will be looking for any and all gardening volunteers, and offers to take some greenwaste to the dump for us on the day. It will be advertised when we have a date, but if you are definitely interested in joining our group to plant and maintain these beds, please email Jo through info@greenerberwick.org.uk

Zero Waste Hub Action Group

Another successful Repair Cafe was held on 21st October. The next one will be on Saturday 18th November - 10-13.00 at the Salvation Army Hall in Church St. Contact us if you have skills to offer or would just like to help out.

Warm Homes Action Group

Saturday 18th November in the morning - The Warm Homes Action Group will be leafleting in the town centre around grant opportunities to improve home insulation and other measures. Please email Martin Laidler if you can help: info@greenerberwick.co.uk

Following on from the leafleting we did in the Summer, promoting the County Council's Warmer Homes Grant, members of the Warm Homes Action Group will be doing something similar over the Autumn and Winter, this time promoting the insulation and low carbon forms of heating funded by the energy companies under the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and the Great British Insulation Scheme.

Friends of the Earth are holding a national Day of Action as part of their United for Warm Homes campaign on Saturday 18th November 2023. In support of this Greener Berwick will be at the market on Marygate on that date handing out leaflets and talking to residents concerning the work of the Warm Homes Action Group and the organisation more generally.

If you would like to get involved, please let us know, or just come to see us on the day.

For more details of action group activities see the Meeting Minutes from our 16th October committee meeting.
