Creative Climate Action Group
About the group
Creative Climate is a new Greener Berwick Action Group offering opportunities to respond creatively to the natural world and the climate crisis.
Our activities
The group's activities will reflect Greener Berwick's aims and constitution, with a focus on three key areas:
Connecting to nature
Creative activities help to deepen our connection to nature and heal our alienation from the wild world.
Engaging with climate anxiety and ethical issues
Creating safe forums for discussion
Climate and environmental activism
Through the arts, we can articulate, communicate and campaign about the degradation of the natural world, issues such as AI, and the climate crisis.
In the community
Creative Climate aims to embed its principles and activities in Berwick’s cultural life through collaborations with other local arts organisations, festivals and events, as well as through its own programme of Greener Berwick Creative Climate events and workshops.
The group hopes to reach a wide range of participants, with a particular focus on engaging young people and schools.
Planned activities
Initial ideas include a short series of banner-making workshops and a discussion on AI and ethics.
A series of workshops is also being planned around the spring equinox in 2027.
Meeting dates and times have yet to be finalised. Watch this space for further details!
