Visit from Carla Doran, Friends of the Earth

Greener Berwick have had a visit from Carla Doran, North-East Regional Campaign Organiser, Friends of the Earth (FoE)

Carla came to the last committee meeting and gave a brief presentation which covered:

• the role of the FoE Local Action Group Network

• the new FoE Chief Executive Asad Rehman, originally from Burnley, who is starting to review areas of the organisation

• the FoE North-East Summer Gathering, at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead, Saturday 20 June 2026

• their Planet Over Profit campaign

• the proposed meeting between David Smith MP, Greener Berwick and other environmental groups in North Northumberland

• a proposed meeting between North-East Mayor Kim McGuinness, and environmental groups across the region, to discuss Transport

Carla finished by saying how impressed she was with the work that Greener Berwick does, and that she was always happy to help us.
